MORE ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Baby moreporks are one of my favourite subjects to paint because of their beautiful golden yellow eyes and intense, comical expressions, amidst all the fluff!  In this painting I enjoyed combining the warm brown and yellow tones of the owl with the delicate blues of the wild cornflowers.   If you look carefully, you'll also see another little creature lurking in the foliage, perhaps hoping to escape the notice of the owl!

The original painting of Bright Eyes is available for purchase.

  • Geneva

"Such a gorgeous piece of art and a real quality print of it too. I'm American but my husband is a kiwi and we're going to be settling down in the US but we wanted our daughter to have a little bit of New Zealand
in her nursery and this is it! And what a pretty little bit of New Zealand it is! :)"

  • Megan

"What a beautiful piece of artwork, so happy! My favourite bird, thank you! Was packaged perfectly too and arrived quickly."
