MORE ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting features a Brown Hare, native to Europe but also found in NZ - I've occasionally spotted one bounding along in the distance when out on country walks. I chose poppies and a red-gold colour theme for this painting to compliment the beautiful russet tones of the hare's fur. I usually include a little insect or critter of some sort somewhere in each of my paintings... this one is quite camoflagued - can you spot it?!
